Team ENVY attended for our 8th year, and it was great to meet students in person once again. One of the biggest questions asked was how to make the vital first steps into the industry and how to land that first big job; we had Runners and former Runners on hand to share their advice and wisdom with those wanting to learn more about post production, drawing on their own experiences when making the step up from education into work and their progression at ENVY. We also had a number of enquiries about entry level jobs at ENVY as well as our popular ‘Work Experience scheme’.
The Careers Fair provided students and those new to the TV industry a chance to ask industry professionals any questions about making a start in the industry and well as what employers look for in new recruits. There were also a variety of talks covering a mixture of topics including deep dives into popular TV shows and stories from the industry to help inspire and introduce new areas of television to the next generation.
