Absolute were privileged to deliver 80 shots for the four episode show, contributing across the series as it follows our protagonists through the emotive story. The viewer also literally follows the characters, with each episode being shot in a continuous ‘one-shot’ style. A gargantuan task, executed to perfection by director Phil Barantini.

Creating everything from invisible windows to whole landscapes, the Absolute team implemented highly specialised visual effects, ensuring they blended flawlessly into the show's uninterrupted style. A true testament to the phrase 'good VFX is invisible VFX', check out a breakdown of our work above. Adolescence is available to stream now on Netflix, the show that The Guardian is calling ‘The closest thing to TV perfection in decades’
